Xorboot has developed by Ipaully. Xorboot is graphical boot manager that are support up to sixteen system types, such as BootMgr, NtLdr, Iso, Grub4DOS, SysLinux, PLoP Boot Manager etc. Very easy to use this tool, no installation needed because this program is portable. It's can be used for hard disks or USB flash disks.
 

We are combined this tool with Grub Loader, named grldr. Cyberscie.com has prepared this tutorial for you to create an installer of Ubuntu 14.04 on flash disk from MS Windows XP. Here's the way:

  1. Prepare Your USB Flash Disk.
    The size of free space must up to about 700 MB. Dont worry about your file on the USB flash drive, we will not format it like other USB booting programs. You just defrag the USB flash disk bofore you get message contigous disk message at booting usb later. For defrag your USB Flash disk, see here.

  2. Placing Iso File.
    Place your iso file of Ubuntu 14.04 x86/x64 bit on the root of flash disk, named it ubuntu.iso. This make you easy to setup it later.

  3. Xoorboot Program.
    Download Xorboot here.
    Place anywhere on your hard disk.

  4. Additional File.
    Download this file here.
    Extract it on the root of USB flash disk. This file contain file loader of grldr that has been modified by Cyberscie.com for easier step to set up USB flash disk installer.

  5. Working with Xoorboot.
    Open Xorboot.
    • Select "New config" then hit enter. The screen looks like below:


    • Edit menu number 1 by click it at right side, just edit at the left side and named it "Isntall Ubuntu Server"

    • Edit menu number 2 by click it at right side, then remove it with the button at left side. Repeat this step for menu number 3, 4, and 5

    • Set boot type. Click number 1, at "Search & boot from file" at left side, then browse and point it to the boot loader on your USB flash disk

    • Select your USB flash disk - Open - select the file named "cyber" at the root of USB Flash disk.

  6. Finishing.
    Be sure to check the proper file boot! Save as. Distribute Xorboot to MBR of your USB flash disk by clicking arrow and choose your own flash disk. Distribute, and Close. 

  7. Make a Test.
    It's time to make a test by set your bios to boot from flash disk.
